SS III Billet A little about the "Billet SSIII" wheel
Streetsmart Classics has been designing a couple of different two piece billet wheel designs for the Oldsmobile crowd.  After completing a design for the SS III rally wheel, we then went on to complete the design for the painted style SS II rally wheel.  Identical to the original styled wheels, these patent pending, two piece, custom billet wheels have been recreated in Pro-Touring sizes of 16" thru 20" diameters, with all of the wheel widths, and custom back spacing options that are sought after for that "pro touring" look of today's muscle car enthusiasts.

What sets the "Billet SSIII" apart from typical billet wheels?
Each wheel is the product of state-of-the-art multi-axis machining technology. Cut from solid stock of 6061-T6 aluminum, then welded into DOT Approved turned rims, these two piece wheels allow for custom back spacing to fit almost every application your Oldsmobile will need. Each wheel is hand polished to a mirror like finish. With no clear coating, painted surfaces, or sand blasted ares to chip, nick, or damage. A simple polish job from the owner is all that's needed to keep it looking beautiful! In addition to the wheel itself, with your purchase you will receive a custom billet, OEM styled center cap. This center cap comes with the same hand polished finish and is engraved with the Streetsmart Classics logo in the center. For those who want the original Oldsmobile look, the factory center cap decals fit perfectly in this precision build cap.

Finally.....this wheel is 100% manufactured in the USA by “Bonspeed Wheels! Built by Americans, for an American icon.......Oldsmobile.

Brief wheel specifications:

  • The wheel is a welded, 2 piece, 6061-T6 billet aluminum wheel assembly, allowing custom backspacing as needed.
  • The wheel center is machined from a single block of 6061-T6 billet aluminum.
  • The purchased rims are turned and welded, as well as being DOT approved and stamped.
  • An 18"x8" welded wheel, with the center cap attached, weighs 23 lbs without a tire mounted.
  • The wheel and center cap is finished with a high polish and will be sealed with ZOOP. There will be no clear coating, painted surfaces, or sand blasted ares to chip, nick, or damage. A simple periodic polish job from the owner is all that will be needed to keep it looking beautiful!

The prices posted are very competitive to comparable custom machined billet wheels. Many custom billet wheels don't have highly detailed center caps such as the "Billet SSIII" requires. Keep that in mind when comparing prices of this wheel to other billet wheels currently on the market. Prices shown are for a complete wheel and center cap, are tentative at this point, and "may" change when orders are open for acceptance.

Target Delivery: 6-8 weeks (tentative existing orders in house).
